As Commission Junction have announced earlier, by default, JavaScript links are in full effect now. This is what CJ called Phase I of the Link Management Initiative (LMI). Affiliates still have the option to use the HTML or Legacy links for all promotions until the beginning of 2007.

You can still retrieve Legacy Link Code (non-JavaScript) with a warning. Under the JavaScript link code, if you click on the Legacy Link Code, a window will be displayed with the following message:

JavaScript technology is now the default for Commission Junction links. In order to take advantage of future enhancements, we encourage you to incorporate JavaScript links. For a limited time, you may access legacy code for this link by selecting the ‘Access Legacy Code’ button below.

The default JavaScript code then will be replaced with HTML code.

There is no official schedule yet as to when the Legacy will be discontinued completely. They have stated before that they will notify affiliates at least six months in advancebefore of this change takes into effect.
