  • Community sites attracted 70 percent of mothers online. They seek out support and advice from other other mothers.
  • Moms comprise 13 percent of the 48 million visitors on MySpace.com.

Based on how moms spend their time online, the biggest opportunity for marketers to target moms online is throuh social networking sites. The social power and consumer-generated content are very important feature in marketing generally nowadays, but it becomes utmost important when targeting moms.

Thoughts: Sites who enable this feature will not only get more time from moms, but also word-of-mouth and viral marketing because the demographic in question likes to share information with their peers.
