3 Tactics to Get Your New Site Crawled

If you are seriously into niche marketing, chances are you are going to collect the tools that let you produce things faster and better. Nowadays I seldom recommend anyone to use those template-based website anymore, unless on very rare occasions. Most of the time, I suggest a blog or content management system.

The point is, why complicate the publishing process when you can type and click?

One of the most challenging problem facing every niche marketers after they create a site is getting crawled by the search engine spiders. Starting from scratch is no fun. If you don’t have the tactics in your toolset, you must wait weeks, if not months to get the first visit from the robots.

Don’t feel hopeless though. There is no point you can’t leverage all your efforts and make the second, third and subsequent niche websites get crawled faster. The first one is always the trickiest and most difficult. Here are a few recommendation from me:

1. Build a hub site

As the name implies, this site is going to be the main hub for all your niche sites. Establish this site and obtain a strong PageRank. If you have at least PR4, Google bot will come to your site on a daily basis (even a few times a day).

Everytime you create a new niche site, place a link in this hub site to your new site. Your new site will get visited in less than 24-48 hours.

2. Syndicate an article

It is possible to build a successful site which has other useful type of content but I find that article is the easiest and demanding type of website. Before starting a site, you should have at least 50 unique and quality articles.

Syndicate one or two of them to popular article directories. Alternatively, find high traffic site in the same industry and offer exclusive reprint rights to the article.

3. Issue an online press release

Nowadays, not only journalists and reporters are interested in news. Bloggers will happily write about you if you provide the right news from an interesting angle.

A press release published on a high PageRank and high traffic press release site itself will get your site indexed in no time.

There are many other tactics to get your site spidered and indexed. My favorite one is of course, blogging. But if you can’t blog because of one or other reasons, use one of those tactics above. Not only they are easy, but also free or inexpensive.
